Kuala Lumpur Hash House Harriettes

A unique club, being the only Hash chapter in the Klang Valley run entirely by ladies. Founded in June 1974 by the long suffering wives and girlfriends of the Monday hashers, men are invited to join as ”associate members” and enjoy all the benefits of a full membership except able to serve on the committee.

With a small dynamic committee, the KLHHH boasts members from every social, religious, ethnic and gender group. Runs are usually an hour long with the “Prick of the Week” going to the Hare who doesn’t get the first lady in within one hour fifteen minutes. This “award” is coverted by all. Given to the runner with the most infringements for that week, it is so prized by the recipient that it often goes “missing”. This brown, wooden statue has had to be replaced many times!

This club of some 120 members runs every Wednesday at 6:00pm rain or shine. Guest should check with the committee / members on the rules before starting to run to avoid getting the “prick” at the On On.
